The Tea Party movement has become the surprise top headline in this year's election season.
    
Former GOP House Majority Leader Dick Armey, one of the influential leaders of the movement, suggests the group will play a major role in shaping the future of the Republican Party.

Grassroots groups like the Tea Party are "going to have a very active role in examining the Republican selection process and guiding it in the direction of a bona fide, reliable conservative," Armey told the Charlottesville Libertarian Examiner.

He has written a new book Give Us Liberty: A Tea Party Manifesto.
