Thousands of people are gathering in the nation's capital for the Values Voter Summit.

Top conservative leaders are there getting the crowds ready for the midterm elections.

"Welcome to Washington. D.C., the most disconnected city in all of America," Fmr. Republican Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee said, kicking off the event.

"Do you remember when the Washington elites said we should be afraid of you because you're people of faith? Do you remember that? Well you don't look real scary to me," Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., said.

"Values" voters gather together ever year to focus on social issues, but there are some different messages coming out of this year's meeting.
