President Barack Obama's popularity is making a turnaround after months of declining numbers, according to a new ABC News-Washington Post poll.
The survey released Tuesday revealed 54 percent of Americans approve of the job the president is doing.
That's a five point increase from last month and an eight point increase since his career low in September.
A CNN poll had similar results, with 53 percent of Americans approving of Obama.
The president's speech after the Tucson, Ariz., tragedy and the successful lame-duck session are being credited for the high marks.
