Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and business mogul Donald Trump sat down for pizza in New York City Tuesday night.
Palin, who has been touring the East Coast in her campaign-style bus, said she and Trump share similar ideas for improving the U.S. Economy.
Trump says he hopes Palin seeks the GOP presidential nomination.
"She didn't ask me [to run with her] but I'll tell you, she's a great woman, a terrific woman, and a great friend," Trump said.
The meeting fuels speculation that she is gearing up for a run for the White House, but Palin is still not ready to commit.
Meanwhile, Republicans have been trying to persuade New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie to run against President Obama.
But Christie assured a group of Iowa donors Tuesday that he will not be tossing his hat into the 2012 presidential ring.
