A House-approved measure that limits the use of taxpayer funds for abortion is expected to face a tough fight in the Democrat-controlled Senate.
Sen. Roger Wicker, R-Miss., is the main sponsor of the bill, which he introduced Thursday. While he admits it will be difficult to getting the ban approved, he said it's not impossible.
"Every time that we have attempted to advance the pro-life cause through legislation, it has always started out as an uphill battle," he said.
Even if Wicker and his allies can cobble together enough votes to pass the ban in the Senate, President Obama has already said he'll veto the bill.
