In the 60-second ad, the congressman draws on his experience as doctor to explain his position on life.

An announcer describes Paul as a "man of faith committed to protecting life."

The campaign ad started airing Friday in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada -- important states for the 2012 presidential primaries.
