GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain is making headlines again -- this time not for his 999 tax reform plan, but his choice of campaign ads.
The former Godfather Pizza CEO has released an unconventional online ad featuring Cain's chief of staff, Mark Block, smoking while the song "I Am America" plays in the background.
Block told Fox News that he's a smoker and the ad portrays him being his true self.
"It's a choice that I made and it was at the end of the ad, but the real message that we were trying to get through is that the Cain train is on a roll!" Block said.
Still, some say the ad could resurface Cain's history of opposing smoking bans, which the New York Times recently reported.
Cain campaign officials claim the ad has gotten positive feedback.
"Most folks I heard from said it was hysterical," campaign spokesman J.D. Gordon told CBS News.
The video was published on YouTube Oct. 19, but went unrecognized for some time since it was not listed on Cain's main YouTube channel.
