Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has been chosen to deliver the commencement address at the evangelical Christian institution Liberty University.
A campaign official for the Mormon candidate told CBN News that Liberty welcomed Romney and he gladly accepted.
The university, founded by the late televangelist Jerry Falwell, Sr., is the nation's largest Christian college, with an enrollment of 80,000 students.
Romney has struggled to win over evangelical Christians during the primaries.
His commencement address falls just weeks after he will be presumptively named the Republican presidential nominee. It will be the first time Romney has visited the Lynchburg, Va. School.
More than 14,000 graduates and 34,000 guests are expected to attend, with nearly 70,000 others expected to tune in online.
