White House Easter Egg Roll Keeps Kids Active

President Barack Obama faced some stiff competition at the White House Monday -- thousands of children racing to the finish line of the yearly Easter Egg Roll.

The 134th annual White House event included basketball, obstacle courses, a yoga garden, and a workshop on healthy cooking.

"It's a beautiful day, perfect weather," First Lady Michelle Obama said. "There's something for everyone. I hope you put on your comfortable shoes!"

The Easter celebration took on the theme "Let's go, Let's play, Let's move," coinciding with Mrs. Obama's initiative to get kids more active and fight childhood obesity.

The entire first family participated in the event, including Michelle Obama's mother, Marian Robinson. More than 30,0000 people attended.

President Obama and his girls read to the children. Obama also played basketball with a group of kids and the Harlem Globetrotters.
