The Tea Party has another candidate in this year's Senate elections as Rep. Todd Akin won the Republican Senate Primary contest in Missouri Tuesday.

Akin played up his Tea Party credentials and gained the support of former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.

He beat two other candidates, including Sarah Palin's pick, State Treasurer Sarah Steelman.

He will now face Democrat incumbent Sen. Claire McCaskill in November.
