As in every election season, a tiny village kicked off the New Hampshire primary this year.
Just after midnight on Tuesday, the nine registered voters of Dixsville Notch cast the state's first ballots.
Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney and Jon Huntsman each won two of the nine votes.
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and Texas Rep. Ron Paul came away with one vote each.
The remaining three ballots were cast for President Obama.
Dixsville Notch has voted first in the state's primary election since 1960.
