GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney said he will not pursue new legislation restricting abortion.
"There's no legislation with regards to abortion that I'm familiar with that would become part of my agenda," the former governor said in an interview with the Des Moines Register.
Romney did say he would stop government-funded groups from providing or promoting abortions in other countries by reinstating the "Mexico City Rule."
It forbids sending taxpayer dollars to international groups that perform abortions or advise women to have an abortion.
