Many on the left were surprised by President Obama's performance during Wednesday's presidential debate in Denver.
Liberal comedian Bill Maher donated a million dollars to Obama's super PAC. But he told his followers on Twitter that Mitt Romney won the debate.
"Obama looks like he does need a teleprompter," Maher tweeted.

MSNBC host Chris Matthews asked, 'Where was Obama?" and suggested the president should have been watching his network to get debating points.
Fellow MSNBC host Ed Schultz said, "I was absolutely stunned tonight."
And Obama partisan Andrew Sullivan from the Daily Beast wrote, "He choked. He lost. He may even have lost the election tonight.
