House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio said he doesn't buy the White House's timetable for when President Obama knew about the IRS scandal targeting conservative groups.
The president has said he didn't learn about it until seeing news reports the day the story broke.
But in an interview with ABC's "Good Morning America," Boehner said the president's timetable is "inconceivable."
"It's based on the fact that many of his senior staff knew about it, and have known about it for some time," Boehner said.
He continued, "I know how I operate with my senior staff. I meet with them every morning. It would be inconceivable in my operation that my staff would know about it, and I wouldn't."
"It just doesn't, it doesn pass the straight face test," he said.
According to the Inspector General's report, conservative groups were targeted during the 2010 and 2012 elections. However, there is still no verifiable link to the White House.
