The American Center for Law & Justice says the Internal Revenue Service is still harassing conservative groups, despite White House claims the misconduct ended a year ago.
The ACLJ represents 27 Tea Party organizations unlawfully targeted by the IRS, with 18 of them receiving questionnaires during the past year.
The latest came just days before the IRS revealed its scheme.
"This White House continues to try and create a narrative that simply does not square with the facts," ACLJ Chief Counsel Jay Sekulow said. "Without question, the IRS misconduct of harassing and abusing our clients was still in high gear from May 2012 through May of this year."
