Americans on Budget Talks: 'Fire Them All!'

Ad Feedback

Americans are angry with both sides' handling of budget negotiations, according to a new AP/GfK poll.

Few seem to approve of the way President Barack Obama is handling most major issues, saying he is not decisive, honest, or reasonable.

And most Americans describe the Republican party as unlikeable and dishonest. Overall, Congress is getting low approval ratings.

"I think they should all be fired and we should start over -- a whole new batch of people," one person said.

"I imagine the blame could be sort of dispersed. It's hard to tell who's winning the fight," another person said. "It looks like they've sort of locked horns -- so caught up in bipartisanism that they can't get anything done...deadlocked."

One disgruntled observer said both sides need to "grow up."
