House conservatives are announcing an alternative to Obamacare Wednesday. It's the first comprehensive response to the president's unpopular health care reform law.
The proposal offers tax relief for those who purchase their own insurance.
Individuals could claim a $7,500 deduction, while families could deduct up to $20,000.
Meanwhile, Republican leaders in the House are considering using a stop-gap spending bill to try and defund Obamacare.
It's a move that could cause a government shutdown.
The Democrat-controlled Senate is expected to remove any provision that denies money to Obamacare and send it back to the House.
