Americans are finally getting an official look at the inside of government facilities, which are currently overflowing with hundreds of unaccompanied minors.

These child migrants have been flooding the U.S.-Mexico border over the past few months. Cells at an immigration processing center in Brownsville, Texas, have now been turned into makeshift dormitories, with hundreds of children sleeping shoulder to shoulder on the hard floor.

Most of these children are escaping violence in Central America.

Critics claim the Obama administration's immigration policies are to blame for the sudden flood of children crossing the border.

"His policies have created a human magnet for children to come at great risk to themselves," Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, said.

Pastor John Torres, meanwhile, expressed dismay over the conditions in which the children are being kept.

"I'm a little appalled at seeing this, the way they are holding them like prisoners," he said. "They aren't prisoners. They are children!"

In 2011, slightly over 6,000 unaccompanied minors crossed the border illegally. But by the end of this year, an estimated 60,000 will have made the dangerous journey.
