Clinton's Server Was Wiped Before Surrendering

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's email scandal continues to grow.

Clinton's attorney has told a Senate committee the emails and all data on her computer server were erased before it was turned over to federal authorities.

The news comes a few days after Clinton told reporters she was not aware if the data was removed.

Federal investigators requested the server to determine if its data was secure. The Denver firm Clinton hired to oversee the device then transferred it to the FBI a week ago.

Forensics experts say emails and other data can still be extracted from servers even after they've been erased.
