Immigration reform was the hot topic among GOP presidential candidates at a New Hampshire forum on Monday.

Fourteen of the 17 Republican candidates for president took part in the forum.

They blasted President Barack Obama for not protecting the border and said the flow of illegal immigrants into the United States must be stopped before the system can be reformed.

Former Texas Gov. Rick Perry called it "a serious wound."

"Until we get that border secure, it's not going to stop," Perry said. "It's like a serious wound. You want to staunch the flow and that is not what's happening in this country now."

Ohio Gov. John Kasich agreed.

"The border needs to be secured. There needs to be an expanded guest worker program so people can move in and out, support their family, but do it in a legal way," Kasich said.

"I don't think this administration is serious about border security or serious about protecting working men and women," former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum said.

"Everyone is dancing around it," he said. "I'm going to stand for the American worker."

GOP frontrunner Donald Trump did not attend the forum. He and other leading candidates will take part in the first GOP debate this Thursday in Cincinnati.

CBN's David Brody will be there too. Be sure to watch Friday's 700 Club for the blow-by-blow.
