Vice President Joe Biden may also be entering the race for the White House.

A senior Democrat says Biden received President Barack Obama's "blessing" to run, CNN reports.

This comes after a secret meeting with Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., over the weekend and then a private lunch with the president Monday.

A Biden run would pit the president's No. 2 man against his former secretary of state, Hillary Clinton. She is still the Democratic front-runner.

But many analysts believe Clinton's campaign is vulnerable and that may be affecting Biden's decision. Some Republicans feel the same.

"I think he sees a vulnerability in Secretary Clinton. She's got more than an email problem. This is pretty much a self-inflicted wound. When the trust numbers go this low, you're exposed as a politician," Republican presidential candidate Sen. Lindsey Graham told reporters.

"So I don't know what Joe's going to do, but if he's ever wanted to run, now's his best chance," the South Carolina lawmaker said.

Clinton is now said to be cutting her recent vacation short and leaving the Hamptons to head back out on the campaign trail.
