Breaks for Businesses, Families: Congress Agrees on Budget

Congressional leaders have reached a budget agreement on tax cuts and spending for 2016. Most notably, the bipartisan package extends dozens of tax breaks for businesses and families.
The deal does not include stripping Planned Parenthood of federal funds, and it does not fix the deficit.
Some conservatives will be happy because it ends a four-decade ban on U.S. oil exports and it undercuts new Obamacare taxes. The measure also addresses the visa waiver program that's led to fears of terrorist access.
The White House has indicated President Barack Obama will sign the final measure. Congress also passed a bill to prevent a government shutdown through next Tuesday, giving lawmakers time to finish the long-term spending plan.
