GREENVILLE, S.C. - Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton is defending Planned Parenthood as her Republican counterparts blast the national health care organization whose services include abortion.

At a campaign stop in South Carolina, Clinton said the Republican attacks are part of a broader assault on a woman's constitutional right to terminate a pregnancy. She also noted that Planned Parenthood provides many other services beyond abortion.

The latest GOP criticism follows the release of videos taken by a conservative anti-abortion group. They show a Planned Parenthood executive discussing selling tissue samples from aborted fetuses.

Republican politicians across the country are citing an edited version to say Planned Parenthood profits from selling fetal tissue. The full video shows the executive discussing fees intended only to cover the cost of processing tissue samples.
