Rand Paul: Arm Kurds, Give Them Their Own Country

The United States should provide weapons for the Kurdish fighters so they can fight against ISIS, Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., says.

Paul told Breitbart News the Kurds are the best fighters, but he said they aren't getting enough arms.

He also called for the creation of a new Kurdistan nation.

"I think if you did that and could get peace between the Kurds and the Turks, and then the Turks would actually fight if the Kurds would give up any claim to Turkish territory," he said.

He added, however, it's easier to say than to actually make it happen because Turkey and Iraq would have to go along with the idea.
