Gov. Bobby Jindal Drops Out of Presidential Race

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is dropping out of the 2016 presidential race.

He made the announcement Tuesday, telling Fox News "this is not my time."

Jindal spent much of his campaign courting evangelical voters in Iowa, but he failed to gain much overall support among Republicans.

He plans to continue working with a think tank called America Next, which he started a few years ago, once his term as governor is over in January.

"Going forward, I believe we have to be the party of growth and we can never stop being the party that believes in opportunity. We cannot settle for the Left's view of envy and division," Jindal said in a statement.

Jindal says he's not ready to endorse another candidate, but intends to support the eventual Republican presidential nominee.
