A new poll shows Hillary Clinton is bouncing back from a recent loss of public support that was partly tied to the scandal over her use of a private email server to conduct official government business while secretary of state.

Clinton had been losing ground to Vermont socialist Sen. Bernie Sanders, who was even shown to have taken the lead in the early voting states of Iowa and New Hampshire.

But now a CNN/ORC poll shows 42 percent of Democratic voters say they support Clinton in the broader primaries. That's up from 37 percent a few weeks ago.

Only 24 percent now stand with Sanders in the broader primary race, down slightly from 27 percent.

Meanwhile, one factor is still weighing on the Democrat race and could shake things up in coming week: Joe Biden.

Right now, 22 percent of Democratic primary voters say they would pick the vice president, but he has not even declared if he's running for president.
