South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley says she will endorse Marco Rubio for president.

The Charleston Post and Courier reports that the conservative governor will endorse Rubio at a rally in Chapin at 6 p.m. The paper cited "a source familiar the governor's thinking" in its article.

South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott and Rep. Trey Gowdy have already endorsed Rubio.

According to The Slate, another South Carolina paper, Haley decided on Rubio because he's "the establishmennt candidate considered to be in the best position to challenge Republican frontrunners Donald Trump and Ted Cruz."

Haley's support comes just ahead of Saturday's primary where polls show Donald Trump with 38 percent support.

Cruz has 22 percent, Rubio is at 14 percent, Bush 10 percent, Ben Carson at 6 percent, and Ohio Gov. John Kasich has 4 percent.

Haley endorsed Mitt Romney in the 2012 presidential race.
