DES MOINES, Iowa -- Some of the biggest names in media and Hollywood have hit the campaign trail ahead of Monday night's Iowa caucus and are lending their support in the form of endorsements.

Candidates want the biggest and best names to represent their cause. Often times, those individuals have the ability to present the candidate in a way he or she cannot do alone.

Ahead of Monday night's caucus, CBN News is taking a look at who is backing whom.

First up for Sen. Ted Cruz is former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson and, of course, Glenn Beck.

In Donald Trump's corner is Liberty University President Jerry Falwell, Jr., Willie Robertson -- another member of the Robertson crew -- and Sarah Palin.

On the Democratic side, Bernie Sanders nabbed the endorsements of actress Susan Sarandon, activist Dr. Cornel West, rapper Killer Mike, singer Neil Young and the anti-establishment movement Occupy Wall Street.

Supporters for Hillary Clinton include actress Salma Hayek and Kerry Washington, the New York Times and the coveted Des Moines Register editorial board.

But the question remains, do endorsements really translate to support, particularly among Iowans? Only time will tell when voters in Iowa head to the caucus.
