Analysis: Rubio Faces 'Win or Go Home' Scenario in Florida

MIAMI -- The polling results are in and it's not looking good for Florida native Sen. Marco Rubio.

Winning his home state should have been a sure thing, but the latest numbers indicate Donald Trump is ahead  44 percent to 27 percent among likely Republican voters, according to a new Monmouth University Poll.

Most analysts are calling this a "win or go home" situation for Sen. Rubio, who has only gathered 163 delegates so far.

Meanwhile, Trump has gained traction in Ohio as well, where early polls indicated a solid lead for Gov. John Kasich.

Both states are "winner-take-all" which means a lot is on the line for the two hometown candidates. Florida carries 99 delegates alone.
