CWN.com - A Web-based ministry is enlisting Christians worldwide to pray for Iraq.
Missionary Wayne Dillard started the Baghdad Prayer Patrol last year out of concern for coalition troops and the Iraqi people.
The Web site offers news, devotionals and praise reports from the field.
So far, more than 9,000 people have signed up to pray daily for Baghdad.
"I felt it was a crucial time, and prayer could make a difference," said Dillard. "It's more than bombs and bullets. That's not going to solve the problem. There's more going on behind the scenes."
"There's spiritual warfare and there's a spiritual battle going on. And we need to address those issues," he continued. "And that can only be done by Christians who take prayer seriously and take God's Word seriously and apply God's promises into those situations."
