CBNNews.com -- President Bush paid a visit to Pope Benedict in Rome. Benedict hosted the president during Bush's final European visit.
"Your eminence, you're looking good," Bush told the pope on his arrival at the Vatican.
Normally, the Pope meets guests in his personal library, but he broke protocol, and showed the President the lush Vatican gardens
He gave him a rare peek of the spot where the Pope prays in private.
"This is fantastic up here," Bush said. "Thank you so much for showing me this."
The White House says the two spoke about human rights and poverty around the world.
