Bad Weather Hampers China Relief Efforts

Ad Feedback

In China, bad weather is hampering relief efforts in Sichuan province, the region devastated by this month's deadly earthquake.

Heavy rains have grounded many of the helicopters filled with aid supplies and have triggered mudslides.

Samaritan's Purse, and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Assocation are among the Christian agencies at work in the region.

The ministries -- both headed by Franklin Graham -- sent a planeload of water purification systems and tents to China this week.

"What goes on this plane comes from churches and the donations of Christians across the U.S.," Graham said. "We pray it will bring a little bit of relief, a little bit of comfort, but more importantly it will bring hope."

CBN's Operation Blessing is also at work distributing tents and other relief in Sichuan province.
