Two Colorado men-- one nearly killed and the other given jail time-- are sharing a story of forgiveness and second chances.
The lives of Nate Jorgenson and Shawn Turner literally collided in 2004.
Turner was driving drunk and hit Jorgenson as he stood outside of his car. The impact left Jorgenson with a broken neck and severe brain injuries, but in just a few short years, he has learned to walk and talk again.
During that time, Turner was in jail.
both men have since made amends.
"I have no anger at all. I really think this is a blessing," Jorgenson said. "I will never ever stop. This is just the beginning for me."
Not only are the two men now friends, but they also travel to schools together to teach students about the dangers of drinking and driving.
