The book of Psalms tell us that the "ocean depths, lightning and hail, snow and clouds, and the stormy winds do God's bidding."
God is sovereign. He's in control of all that He's created...even in disaster.
But the Bible also tell us that God is there to provide comfort when tragedy strikes.
Christian World News' panel of experts have reported from some of the worst disasters in the past decade, including the 2010 Haiti earthquake, Hurricane Katrina, and the 2004 tsunami in Indonesia.
Our panel includes CBN News Sr. Reporter George Thomas, CBN Chief International Correspondent Gary Lane, and CBN Reporter Efrem Graham, who recently returned from Haiti reporting on a follow up story from last year's earthquake.
Lane and Thomas both share from their experiences covering some of the worst disasters.
- What happens to people when they've suffered great loss?
- How are spiritual needs met in crisis?
- How do Christian groups and churches respond in disaster?
- How are lives changed forever in the aftermath?
Our panel discusses these questions and more. Click play above to watch Part 1 of this three-part discussion.
