Despite all the hoopla in the press about atheism and a bevy of books that promote it, the Bible is still the most popular book in the United States.
God's word came in first in a new online Harris Poll.
J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings' placed second among men. And Margaret Mitchell's "Gone With The Wind" was second among women. The Harry Potter series came in as the second choice for those ages 18 through 31.
And even though they may not agree politically, the top two books for Republicans, Democrats and Independents is still the Bible, followed by "Gone With The Wind."
