Consumers across the country could face soaring heating bills this winter.

The price of heating oil, natural gas and electricity are all headed for record levels.

USA Today reports that homeowners could spend an extra $22 billion heating their homes this winter.

Those using heating oil will see the biggest increases, up to 36 percent higher than last year.

And to make matters worse, some forecasters are predicting a colder winter this year.
