Tuesday marked the one-year anniversary of the shooting at the New Life Church in Colorado Springs, Colo.

A memorial was dedicated to the lives that were lost in the attack.

A stone bench and two blue spruce trees mark the site in the church parking lot where Rachel and Stephanie Works were shot and killed by Matthew Murray.  A church security guard shot and wounded Murray, then he took his own life.

Earlier that same day, Murray killed Tiffany Johnson and Philip Crouse at the Youth Mission Training Center in Denver.

David Works was also wounded during the shooting that killed his daughters. At the church's Sunday service, he told the audience, "All I know is God was with us then and he's with us now."
