California has adopted the nation's most aggressive plan to cut greenhouse gas emissions.

The state's 31 new rules could affect all facets of life in the Golden State. From how products are manufactured to where people may build their homes and the materials they may use to do it.

It could even affect what type of fuel Californians can put in their cars.

But the new plan could also put a strain on businesses during the current economic crisis.

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger says he thinks the new rules will stimulate the state's economy and be an example for the rest of the country.
