The singer songwriter known as the "father of Christian rock music" has passed away.

Larry Norman influenced many Christian and secular musicians throughout his career.

His hit song, "I Wish We'd All Been Ready" has been re-recorded by several artists.

Norman was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2001, the same year he retired.

He had since been battling heart problems.
