The daily column Dear Abby has been read by an estimated 110 million people in more than 1,000 newspapers.
Each day, she dishes out advice on everything from nosy neighbors to romantic relationships, but critics believe her views are immoral and should not be trusted.
The Culture and Media Institute (CMI) petitioned to get a disclaimer included with the column, stating "Dear Abby is not an accredited professional" and that it "is suitable only for entertainment, and should not be considered a reliable source for advice on sexual morality."
Robert Knight, director of CMI, spoke with CBN News on what his group observed about Dear Abby and why the disclaimer is needed.
