A retired evangelist turns 111 tomorrow in Zeeland, Mich.
Nellie Jones and her late husband helped start the Full Gospel All Nation Pentecostal Church in 1942. Jones can still recite passages from the Bible and sing hymns she sang during her days as an evangelist.
After receiving birthday greetings at the local nursing home where she now lives, Jones said, "What? I'm how old?"
Reminded that she was about to turn 111, she remarked, "I'm really getting old."
Jones is one of only 74 people in the world who are known to be 110 or older.
