What could be more streamline than a swimmer's own skin?
Well, the U.S. swim team has the answer just in time for the Olympics.
It's called the Speedo "Laser Racer."
The new space-age swimsuit was designed by NASA scientists and it's helping American swimmers cut seconds off their time.
The suit minimizes skin vibration and drag with built-in panels that stablize the swimmer's core.
The new look is made with just three "ultrazonically welded" pieces of material.
But with 40 world records broken by the "Laser," critics question if it is "technological doping."
