Christian artist Steven Curtis Chapman has returned to live performances after taking time off to mourn the loss of his daughter.

Though still a difficult time for the singer, he decided to return to touring July 11, with a show in Oshkosh, Wisc. Dates and locations have been announced through September.

Chapman's tour schedule was cancelled almost immediately after his 5-year-old daughter, Maria Sue, was accidentally hit and killed by a car May 21. She was one of three girls from China the singer had adopted.

Since Maria Sue's death, the Chapmans have received overwhelming support.

"People have not just been praying for the Chapman family, but crying out to God for them and their healing," Scott Hasenbalg, executive director of Shaohannah's Hope said.

The organization was founded by the Chapmans to support adoptions nationwide. Donations to the foundation in Maria's memory have exceeded $500,000 as of Tuesday.
