A 6-year-old boy is being called a hero after he jumped into a swimming pool to save his younger friend.
Haden Stusak had been practicing diving when he saw a shadow at the bottom of the pool and decided to investigate.
That shadow turned out to be his 5-year-old friend Josiah Buddah.
Josiah is not as good of a swimmer as Haden, and needs his "water wings" to stay afloat.
"He jumped inside the water and helped me get back up," Josiah said. Two nurses and a doctor gave the boy CPR once he reached the surface.
Josiah's mother, Judith, couldn't be more thankful.
"I could have been burying my baby this week, so just to know that he's here...is amazing, because to see your child lifeless for a few minutes, you think it's over," she said.
Haden's parents are also proud of their son for being so courageous. They said they often tell their son not to talk so loud, but are glad they were able to hear his yells this time.
"I called 'Help! Help! He drowned,"' Haden said.
He didn't think twice about jumping in to save Josiah.
"We're friends. That's what friends do," he said.
Josiah is doing better now and begins swimming lessons in a couple of weeks.
