Just as consumers are finding higher prices at the grocery store, a new report suggests people are paying more for less product.
From candy to mayonnaise, to tissues, products are turning up in the same packaging but with less product.
Consumer experts say it's been happening for years.
But now, with the economy the way it is, consumers may get even less bang for their buck.
"I feel that they're just doing what they gotta do to keep their business afloat," one consumer said.
"It's a con. The fact is manufacturers and marketers can do whatever they like," said Todd Marks, senior editor of Consumer Reports. "The fact of the matter is that what we have here is a situation where the consumer is getting ripped off."
Experts recommend shoppers pay close attention to prices and package-sizes to get the most for their money.
