Former Vice President Al Gore is launching his bipartisan "Climate Protection" campaign this week.
"We all share the exact same interest in doing the right thing in this. Who are we as human beings? Are we destined to destroy this place we call home, planet earth? I can't believe that's our destiny. It's not our destiny," Gore said.
The ads feature people who are considered polar opposites, coming together to protect the planet - for example, Pat Robertson and Al Sharpton.
They filmed their ad last week here in Virginia Beach.
The ad features a couch on the beach with Sharpton sitting on the left and Robertson on the right.

Other odd couples will reportedly appear in later ads, including Toby Keith and the Dixie Chicks and Nancy Pelosi and Newt Gingrich.
Gore: No Presidential Run
Meanwhile, as the showdown between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton continues, some Democrats are hoping Gore will step into the race.
But the former Vice President says that's not going to happen.
For now, he's focusing his time and money on protecting the planet.
Gore, a Nobel prizewinner and filmmaker, has been one of the leading voices for the international efforts on climate protection.
