If granted any wish, most 9-year-olds would choose a trip to Disney World.

But one Kansas boy was granted a very grown-up wish: to be a United States Army soldier.

Young Ethan Moyer and his best friend Jake were officially sworn in on Monday in Denve, Colo.

The military made a special exception to it's age requirement to prematurely enlist Ethan due to his health.

Ethan has a life threatening disease that effects his blood pressure, cholesterol and kidney function.

The Make-a-Wish Foundation made this heroic wish possible.

The next step for the young soldiers was a tour at Fort Carson.
