Christian singer Steven Curtis Chapman and his family shared memories of their 5-year-old daughter Maria Sue, Saturday, as they laid her to rest.
The 5-year-old was accidentally struck and killed by a car driven by her 17-year-old brother last week.
About 2,000 mourners gathered for her funeral in Nashville, Tenn..
During the service, Chapman read a letter from Maria's sister who told her to "enjoy heaven" and that they would be together again, "but not too soon."
Maria Sue was one of three daughters Chapman and his wife adopted from China. She was their youngest daughter.
They formed Shaohannah's Hope ministry in 2003 to help other families adopt.
