Gas prices continue to climb as the summer travel season approaches.
The average price of gas right now is $3.71 a gallon.
And if the high prices aren't enough, drivers in Fresno, California, say watch out for expensive car repairs due to bad gas.
Hundreds - maybe even thousands - filled their cars with diesel fuel after it was mistakenly put into tanks assigned to regular.
And car-repair shops have been flooded with stranded victims.
"But as I put on the gas and tried to accelerate it wouldn't accelerate. It was pulling back. But then I went home and I went to sleep and when I woke up this morning to come to work and it wouldn't even, it would start, but then as soon as it started to idle down it just stalled," said Michelle Delgado.
At least 13 gas stations in the area supplied the wrong gas.
Their local gas distributor doesn't know how this happened, but will reimburse drivers and gas stations.
"I'm just removing the contaminated fuel from the tanks in the ground so we can get some decent fuel back in here and go back to selling gas to the public," said Steve Follet with the Calif. Fresno Oil Company.
Drivers who ended up with the bad gas will probably have to drain their fuel tank and then replace the fuel filter, which costs about $200.
