For one Texas household, their motto is "the bigger the better".
They are the Hinds of Plano, Texas. They have 18 children, 13 whom are adopted and ten kids still live under their roof.
Their expenses for one month can go as high as $2,000. But with help from the community and a $10,000 dollar tax credit, the Hinds say they wouldn't have it any other way.
"The need of your community, having a servant's heart, and just making a difference in a child's life," Mrs. Hinds explained.
"I love having a big family, because you never get bored," one daughter Candace Hinds said.
One thing the Hinds don't have to worry about is paying the college tuition for all of their children. Children adopted out of foster care can attend the state's universities for free.
